Evie let your hair hang down

It’s hard not to start singing the great Steve Wright classic, Evie, at the mention of new sponsor Eve Rauber.

Evie is located at Salon Jenaire on the Waterfront and wants Newtown and Chilwell Cricket Club to help her spread the message.

“We’re more than happy to help her do that, though there’s not a lot of hair to let down down in my case,” said club president Frank Tuskes.

“But I can sing her praises when it comes to a buzz cut.”

Others are also singing Evie’s praises. Her Facebook page has a number of high volume endorsements, including these two:

Amanda –  “I have been going to Eve for years now and she has not disappointed once. She is honest, talented, consistent and has managed to meet my every indecisive request … short, long, dark, blonde, and has done it all well. I would highly recommend her.”

Rowan – “Eve gives a fresh and stylish cut with a great look. Her personalised service is impeccable and she’s always easy to chat to; I’ve been going to her exclusively for years, and I encourage others to do the same!”

Hair by Evie can now be found in Salon Jenaire which is in Steampacket Place on the Waterfront.

Evie specialises in:

  • Ladies’ and Men’s precision cutting
  • Creative colour and colour correction
  • Styles/Bridal/Debs/Formal
  • Bhave smoothing
  • Facial waxing
  • Hair care

“Evie will be coming to the club to meet the playing group and while I can’t comment on a lot of the services, it is obvious from what Amanda and Rowan attest that she knows her stuff and it will be great for our playing group, as well as our supporters, to link up with her.”

The Newtown and Chilwell Cricket Club would like to thank Tom Levick for introducing Evie to the club.

“The search for new sponsors is an on-going one and while most might wonder what need Tom has for a hairdresser, it is great that he has taken the initiative,” Frank Tuskes said.

Many thanks again to Hair by Evie.

Newtown welcomes the Sanders Family & Third Ecology

Third Ecology

Mark Sanders came down to Stinton Oval last summer when his son Nick joined the Under 15’s and liked what he saw.

This summer, Newtown and Chilwell Cricket Club is delighted to welcome Mark, Kate and two of their three sons as players, and his company Third Ecology as a sponsor.

“On behalf of the club, I want to welcome Mark and his family,” said club president, Frank Tuskes.

“One of the things we are really wanting to do at Newtown and Chilwell over the next few years is to put in places processes that make our club attractive to new people.

“For this to have happened now with a family such as the Sanders’ is very heartening for us.”

Mark Sanders has held a number of important positions in the Geelong community.

He is a Life Member of the Geelong Chamber of Commerce, having served as both a Director and President.

Mark is Principal and owner of Third Ecology – an award winning architectural and planning company based in Geelong West.  He has previously been a sessional tutor at Deakin University and secretary of Geelong West St Peters Football and Netball Club – who from 2017 will be the Geelong West giants.

Third Ecology provides architectural, sustainability advice and consulting services to a range of clients in relation to creating highly liveable, comfortable and sustainable buildings.

Architectural and planning services include:

  • master planning
  • feasibility design and assessment
  • concept design and town planning
  • documentation
  • tendering
  • contract administration

Clients include:

  • Individual homeowners
  • Builders and developers
  • Other architects and building designers
  • Schools
  • Government

“We recommend that anyone needing the services provided by Third Ecology give Mark a call,” said Frank Tuskes.

“Another pleasing thing about the sponsorship agreement we have with Mark and Third Ecology is that we have been able to customise it to suit the outcomes that Mark wanted.

“We say to anyone interested in sponsoring the club, tell us what you want out of it and we will do our best to meeting those requests.

“Sponsorship is a two way street. Of course the club has to benefit from the sponsorship, but we are committed to ensuring that sponsoring our clubs has immediate and long term benefits to the sponsor.”

Good time Tom, Appointed Social Co-Ordinator

Tom Levick has been appointed as Newtown and Chilwell Cricket Club’s Social Co-Ordinator for season 2016-2017, “Tom is a perfect choice for us,” said club president Frank Tuskes.

“He has relationships with both young and old members of the club and I have no doubt he will deliver an outstanding social calendar that meets the needs of everyone.” Tom will have a strong support team that includes Reeanna Pavletich, Kylie Chapman, Zac Stokes and Jamie Pescott.

“It is very important as a club, whether on the field, or off it, that we do things as a team,” Frank Tuskes said. “So it is great that Tom will have a group of people he can call on to help him. “And there are plenty of opportunities for other people to help out not just Tom, but all the other office-bearers in the club.

“So if you haven’t put your name forward, do it now so we can go forward together as the Mighty Two Blues!”
